Established in 2019, S&P started as a pure delivery service for solar retailers. Our founder Simon Yates, up until then working as an electrician installing Photovoltaic Systems, was fed up with the costly and completely unproductive aspect of the job to pick up stock for the next installation after a long and hard day on the roof. Getting stock delivered to site prior to the job was basically impossible as solar panels are bulky and were treated that way by most carriers. Just delivering a pallet on a truck to a domestic site and unloading via tailgate is not really an option. So he got together with his business partner Patrick and established the first delivery service specialising in solar panels and related equipment that would deliver to domestic sites and hand-unload the material there. After winning the first loyal customers the company understood the need for not only delivering to site prior to the installation but to actually deliver to site on the day of install before 8am. This service required a structural change as more drivers were needed as well as own facilities to store stock, so it would actually be possible to start earlier and guarantee a reliable morning delivery service that was satisfactory to the Solar Install Teams.

From there on S&P also operated a warehouse storing stock for their solar retail clients. This warehouse service quickly ventured into not only storing particular stock but also to pack individual solar jobs from bulk ordered Balance of System and electrical components. With Simons long expertise in solar installations it was then not a far leap to offer full operations management services that include site inspections, stock ordering, scheduling installations and booking install teams, etc.

A service that is particularly valued by solar retailers that operate across multiple states, as it offers them an easy and cost effective way into the Victorian solar market.
